hashcat software package provides World's fastest and most advanced password recovery utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hashcat
hashcat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hashcat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hashcat *
You will get with hashcat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
